There are millions of people enslaved around the world right now, and the media doesn’t talk about it...
Modern Slavery – 35 to 45 million people are actively enslaved today, which is equal to the population of Canada
You ever hear an NFL player say that the NFL is like “modern-day slavery”? [1][2] What if… instead of comparing their multi-million dollar contracts to slavery (which normal people call a really well-paying job), they mentioned actual modern slaves? Because there are MILLIONS of people in slavery TODAY. Crazy, right?
You don’t hear about this in school. You don’t hear about this in the media. You rarely see this topic pop up on the internet or social media. But it’s everywhere. Now that’s a giant conspiracy. Let’s take a look.
Before we start, we want the people to know what’s really going on! Please share the newsletter with others. There’s a lot of research and effort that goes into each article!
Official Name
Modern Slavery – 35 to 45 million people are actively enslaved today, which is equal to the population of Canada.
Conspiracy Description
When slavery pops up in conversation in the United States, it’s usually about the 600,000 African slaves brought to the continent between 1500 and 1865. But that might be looking at the trees instead of the forest when it comes to the worldwide impact of slavery. Currently there are an estimated 35 to 45 million people actively enslaved. These slaves fall into categories such as forced labor, sexual exploitation, forced marriages, and more. The US Department of State breaks down the categories pretty well here.
The Details
A large portion of American’s electronics, computers, phones, clothes, sugar, and cacao is produced by forced labor, slave labor, and child labor. American companies such as Apple, Nike, Google, and others utilize these international slave labor pools to produce their products. They even actively lobby against US regulation of Xinjiang forced labor!
North Korea leads in per capita slavery (which is a terrible thing to be first in). You can check out the top 10 list here if you’re curious which countries are the worst.
One of the worst offenders of modern slavery is China. China currently has over 1 million Uyghur Muslims in forced camps. China says they’re being re-educated since they are “domestic terrorists”. Does this sound like a certain party in US politics? Here is the quote from China on their reeducation:
“The Chinese Communist Party maintains these centers are a crucial part of its effort to counter terror, extremism and separatism,” according to NBC News.
Compare this to the Region 10 Director of the DNC for California:
“No seriously… how *do* you deprogram 75 million people? Where do you start? Fox? Facebook? We have to start thinking in terms of post -WWII Germany or Japan. Or the failures of Reconstruction in the South” - David Atkins
So, looks like China might not lead the world for long in modern slavery if Mr. Atkins can help it!
What This Means
There’s a good chance you’ve seen a sex worker on the street who was enslaved, have items in your home or pocket made by child laborers or Uyghur camp “members”. The problem of slavery has not gone away, but the media basically acts like it’s not a thing. They’re more concerned with whether or not players kneeled during the National Anthem or what shoes Kamala Harris was wearing. Our guess is that it’s a big no-no to talk about modern slavery because a lot of large corporate sponsors utilize it to some degree.
It’s been really difficult for journalists to get information on the Chinese labor camps because they execute or expel journalists who attempt to cover stories on the regions where the labor camps are located. Foreigners can’t even get near these geographical areas. This allows countries who are utilizing labor camps to dictate the reporting on them. Nazis utilized similar tactics to show justification for their own camps during WWII.
This topic has got us stumped. There is little-to-no coverage on modern slavery, but there are millions of active slaves. We have no idea why this isn’t a bigger topic today.
